Pågåande studie
Det blei gjennomført ei nasjonal spørjeundersøking blant barnetannlegar/pedodontistar i USA i 2021. Formålet med spørjeundersøkinga er å kartlegga barnetannlegane si erfaring med barn i risiko og oral helse og deira erfaring i høve samarbeid med barnevernstenesta. Studien er eit samarbeid mellom University of North Carolina USA, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) og Tannhelsetjenestens kompetansesenter Vestland.
Spørjeundersøkinga i USA bygger på delar av spørjeundersøkinga gjennomført i den offentlege tannhelsetenesta i Noreg, med justeringar tilpassa tannhelsetenesta i USA.
Resultat og status:
Arbeid med innsamla data og skriving av vitskaplege artiklar pågår.

National study among pediatric dentists/pedodontists in the USA

Ongoing study
A national cross sectional survey was conducted among pediatric dentists/pedodontists in the USA, in 2021. The purpose of the survey is to assess the pediatric dentists' experience with children at risk and oral health, and their experience in relation to collaboration with the Child Welfare Services / Child Protective Services. The study is a collaboration between the University of North Carolina USA, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD) and the Oral Health Centre of Expertise in Western Norway.
The questionnaire used in the USA is based on parts of the questionnaire used in the national surveys carried out in the public dental health service in Norway in 2014 and 2019, with adjustments adapted to the american setting and dental health service in the USA.
Results and status:
Ongoing work with collected data and writing of scientific articles.
